Yellow Daffodils

She stood in line to reach the counter, texting on her mobile. She then stooped down and picked up a bunch of yellow daffodils.
Once home, she placed the daffodils in a vase on top of her chimney next to her friend's photograph.
The next day, two daffodils opened up, and the day after, a few more...
Yellow daffodils bloomed.
