The Coward's sanity
Too many last names ending in ‘ni’ from different parts which are too closely related to be avoided are invading ‘The City’ this week.
I suffer from the “yes, no problem” syndrome accompanied by a complementary smile. And unlike the bulk of the billionesque population that probably thinks that this is the greatest slum dog, slum slog, slum flog country in the world, when I say “yes, no problem”, I actually try my best to achieve the desired result, leaving me at a loss of personal and work time.
And so I chose the cowardice way. I escaped. As I would like to think - for sanity’s sake.
I had never been to Arambol before. My room is dirty. But, the sea is 5 steps away from my window, I have a desk and a table to work on and I’m only paying Rs. 400 per night. I’m in a new place, alone, no one knows me. I feel a little invisible. It’s a pretty cool feeling.
