defending my vision of unreality of the world, i seem to perceive all with indifference...

but i'm attached to my attempt of righteousness, honesty, and the belief that i should live up to the fulfillment of my conscience instead of the words, advices and recommendations received from others. what if i chose to go against these principles? would it make a difference? from a point of view of the universe as whole, since i'm so small an entity with respect to the overall view, it probably wouldn't. but i would be immersed by misery, guilt and the feeling of wrong, at least until its habit would overcome and fill me with a new conscience.

time has a way of making us feel used to our situation. would a man who spent more than 5 years in prison feel more at home behind bars, then in the outside world? so, does the man who lead a life of theft, murder, etc. feel numb to the idea of righteousness and respect?

in India, it certainly appears that a majority have a reason to believe that telling the truth and showing respect towards others play secondary roles in comparison to fulfilling ones' needs. this could be due to the fact that the ratio of people as opposed to our resources is largely indented towards the population this country proudly possesses, and thus the fact that one cannot trust fully that his need will be fulfilled.

what does this all lead to ultimately? the fulfillment of our petty everyday needs, our pride, our contentment, the fact that we need to be appreciated? should all our governments, like the U.S., give us the right to buy a gun and vent our anger to be able to show our discontentment openly like Cho?

if yes, the population problem that india faces today would definitely be helped....

I always think principles matter even though our needs might not goign to be fulfilled. Far better this way than to have guilt eat you up and finally be immune to your actions. Now that scares me!
If gun laws were passed in India, it wud no doubt cut down the popln. but the downside wud be another victory for illegal weapons trade.
